We encourage guests to follow the mask guidance provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Any local mandates in place as of July 23, 2021, will be required.

Registration and Packet Pickup
All runners should register online by 11:59 pm, July 19th. We will not accept same-day race registration. All participants must pick up their registration information from the Fairgrounds prior to competing in the race. Registration packet pick-up WILL NOT take place on the day of the race. Registration packet pickup will be on Wednesday, July 21st, and Thursday, July 22nd from 4pm-7pm at the Fair Office. This is when you will pick up your race shirt, race number bib, and free admission ticket to get into the Fairgrounds. You must pick up these items on the designated dates to be able to participate in the race.

Race Day Check-In
Check-in will take place at Corporate Tent 1 located on the northeast end of the Fairgrounds, directly north of the race track (near gate 5). It will begin at 11:00 am and will end at 12:30 pm SHARP. All registered runners will be bused to the starting line at Rogers Park by Cardinal Buses. Those without the current issued Parade 5,000 race number will NOT be allowed to use the transportation provided, nor run in the race.

The race itself begins approximately at 1:20 pm or whenever the race route can be completely cleared. Two water stations are available during the route, as well as ice towels at the finish line supplied by Wellpath.

Age Groups
Age groups are as follow: (male & female separate) under 12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, over 60.

Race shirts are given to the first 200 entrants. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group. The top male and female winner will each receive $100 towards tennis shoes donated by Woldruff's Footwear in Goshen.

Due to COVID-19, there will not be a post-race award ceremony for the 2021 race. The medals and prizes will be taken to the Fair Office one hour after the race for the winners to pick up from there.

Bandits will not be tolerated! All participants must be showing their official race number to start the race. Race organizers will be checking to ensure that the race is fair to all participants that sign up officially.

A youth mile fun run may take place on the grandstand track before the finish of the Parade 5,000 race, but is separate from this event. Those interested should visit & "Competition Events" for more information.
