Where do we put it all?  Starting in 2012, the Elkhart County 4-H Fair will have expanded grounds to continue its growth and success.  Recently the fair board purchased an additional 250 acres east of the current grounds.  While no definitive plans have been made yet for the specific development of the land, the most immediate need is additional parking space.  Other items being considered in the strategic plan are added space for camping, 4-H projects and commercial exhibitors, an assessment of how to get people around the fairgrounds, new event venues and additional year-round uses and events.

How can you be involved?

Give us your ideas!  The fair board is very interested in hearing from the public about how the additional space can be used.  Do you have an idea for a new event?  What is your biggest obstacle in getting around the fair?  What would you like to see more of?  Less of?  What events or uses would you be interested in outside of fair week?  We would like to hear from you!  Drop us an email to 4hfairland@gmail.com or on Facebook.

Donate!  The fair board will be launching a fundraising campaign to help pay for the land purchase.  Donations may be given online or at the fair office.  When you walk on the new grounds, watch a new show or see a new exhibit, you can know that you contributed to the fair’s expansion.  Be a part of something significant!  No donation is too small!
